On this life-changing and beautiful, yet challenging journey, I’m here to guide you through one step at a time. I currently offer daytime support with a 4 hour minimum. When I come into your home, I focus most of my care around the following:

Parent Care

-Helping both parents adjust to their new role by providing breastfeeding support, making sure mom is nourished and rested, and daily check-ins on the mental well-being of both parents.

Baby care

-Assistance and demonstration in the following areas: baby-wearing, diapering & dressing, soothing techniques, feeding support, bath time, the understanding of baby cues, and much more.

Household care

-I will help you maintain your household and provide a calm living space by helping with baby’s laundry, light meal prep and the cooking of nourishing crock pot meals, light housework, and organizing and re-stocking baby’s nursery.

birth support includes 20 hours of in person doula support as well as two prenatal visits and one postpartum visit (each usually about an hour long.) In person support during birth includes assistance in pain relief & position changes, helping guide your partner through the birth process, encouragement and words of affirmation, assistance in advocation, and being an extra person that knows the birth world and can help you make informed decisions. Prenatal visits include helping you create your ideal birth plan, going over everything that will be a possibility in labor, and practicing pain relief tactics that we’ll be using during birth. The postpartum visit includes a check in with the family to debrief the birth and check in on your overall well being. I also include a few packages with birth photography &/or newborn photography.

“Hiring Katherine for the birth of our first child was one of the best decisions we made. Not only did she help support our family through a time where we really needed extra hands, she also really taught us HOW to care for our newborn. I learned so much from Katherine!”— Jaime K.
